It only lasts a few weeks before they go grey and brown, so you have to appreciate it while it's here. Rapeseed is a fascinating plant — grows up to two meters tall, between two and six centimeters a day, and the roots go another meter down. Used for cooking oil, biodiesel and animal feed. Also related to cabbage, and yes, it does smell a bit.
